Wyndham City Council
Wyndham City Council is a local government area located in the West of Melbourne’s Metropolitan area. Wyndham is one of the fastest growing LGA’s in Australia, with one of the highest populations of migrants and refugees.
Marisha worked as the Cultural Development Officer for the Families and Youth department of Wyndham City Council from 2019 - 2021.
During her time at Wyndham she developed and ran multiple programs and committees targeted towards young migrants and refugees aged 12 - 25 years old.
In addition to this, Marisha ran the Wyndham Humanitarian Network, which aims to address humanitarian issues within the LGA by bringing together relevant councils, organisations and non-profits. Marisha also created and implemented cultural diversity training for internal Wyndham City Council staff, to raise cultural awareness within council.
